Born Katherine Kelly Wegeman, she took her professional name from her mom, actress Judith Lang. Dad Keith Wegeman was an Olympic ski-jumper -- you may remember him as the Jolly Green Giant in those classic TV commercials. Katherine lives in Los Angeles with her second husband (talent manager Alex D'Andrea), their daughter (Zoe), her stepdaughter (Danyelle), and two sons (actors Jeremy and Julian) from her previous marriage. This outdoor-sports fanatic owns several horses and rides them in professional competitions.
She debuted in the 1979 film "Skatetown, U.S.A.," but her star turn in 1996's "Subliminal Seduction" is more notable for its steamy scenes of the statuesque actress in all her glory. Katherine's TV credits stretch from sitcoms ("Happy Days") to westerns ("Lonesome Dove") to sports dramas ("1st & Ten").
She's ridden an emotional roller-coaster as perennially unrequited lover Brooke Forrester Marone ever since "The Bold and the Beautiful" premiered in 1987. She's one of four original cast members still with the show.
Katherine played the love interest of Alabama lead vocalist Randy Owen in the country group's 1985 video for "There's No Way."
