Fort Worth, Texas
Twice named one of the "50 Most Beautiful People in the World" by People magazine, Hunter (born Deborah Jo Hunter) has seen more than her fair share of heartbreak: One of her two daughters by second husband (and former "All My Children" co-star) Michael Tylo lost an eye to a rare form of cancer. And in 2007, their son accidentally drowned in the family swimming pool.
Hunter -- whose heritage is 45% Cherokee -- was a successful model before joining the casts of "All My Children" (1985-87), "Days of Our Lives" (1989-90), and, in 1990, "The Bold and the Beautiful."
After signing a contract to star on "Melrose Place," she was fired when the show's producer learned she was pregnant, but she won a $5 million discrimination suit. She returned to "B&B" for two episodes in 2004, then rejoined the show as the self-sacrificing Taylor in 2005.
Hunter is an accomplished bareback rider with an extensive collection of exotic pets, including a boa constrictor named BJ. (Growing up in rural Texas, she once spent her entire allowance on a mail-order alligator.)
