Raised in Texas, Ashley studied for two years at the Houston High School for the Performing Arts. She has a bachelor's degree from Malibu's Pepperdine University and lives in Los Angeles with her husband (writer-actor Noah, son of actor Craig T. Nelson) and their two dogs. Ashley's been a dancer since childhood and enjoys hiking, writing, and playing the violin.

Although she's been in commercials since age five, Ashley's first memorable Hollywood acting experience came with the 1993 TV movie "The Fire Next Time" -- mostly because she met her future husband on the set.

She got her big break playing Megan Dennison Viscardi on "The Young and the Restless." After appearing with Will Ferrell and Luke Wilson in "Old School," she joined the cast of "The Bold and the Beautiful" as prodigal daughter Dr. Bridget Forrester in 2004.
