Southern tradition meets modern ambition in "Southern Belles: Louisville," a new SOAPnet original reality series following the lives and loves of five young women determined to make their own way. Set against the warm, progressive, and art-centric community of Louisville, KY, it finds these independent ladies at a critical crossroads in their lives.
Recap by Anika Kohon
In a Word: Emily gets her father’s blessing to move to Las Vegas, Kellie surprises all of the girls with a big decision, Hadley breaks up with Russ, and Shea receives devastating news.
The Action: Emily tells her parents she is moving to Las Vegas, and to no one’s surprise, they’re not pleased. She tries to soften the blow by telling them she also met a guy, but her dad counters that there are plenty of guys in Louisville. (SO not the point when the one she likes is in Las Vegas!)
The girls get together for dinner and Kellie breaks the news that she is moving to Chicago. No one is terribly supportive (and we can’t say we blame them).

I'm from Louisville and I wouldn't trade my life with any of the Belles either. I've been married to my husband and best friend for 15 years. We have two beautiful children. We haven't had many ups and downs because we are such good friends and mostly agree on things. We also keep the Lord in our lives, so that is what keeps us going. I'm glad Shea realized how Jeff was before the wedding. I'm also really glad that Kellie decided to stay in Louisville and work on herself instead of relying on a man. Love the show!!
To be honest, I wouldn't trade my life with any of the Belles because I wouldn't want to date now adays. I am turning 44 this week and have been married for 23 years. We have had our ups and downs like every married couple. But at the end of the day we have each other and our family. We don't have much money like Shea and the others on the show. However, we have our little piece of Louisiana heaven and that works just fine for us. :)
