In the small town of Tree Hill, basketball is life. Nathan Scott is the high school's star player, but his half brother Lucas only gets to win on the public courts in the park. When they're finally forced to play on the same team, their rivalry and ultimate bonding bring together friends, lovers, and two halves of a seriously messed-up family.
Born: Chicago, Illinois
DOB: April 14, 1975
Sign: Aries
Personal: Antwon's a native of the south side of Chicago, where basketball is a way of life. From an early age, he focused on his goals -- acting and sports. But after graduating from high school, he decided to give up sports and turn to music and performing. Kind of funny that this change of heart brought him full circle: Some of his best known acting roles have to do with ... basketball.
Professional: Antwon couldn't quite leave hoops behind. Since moving to Los Angeles to pursue acting, he's played a high school athlete in the film "Coach Carter" (with his role model, Samuel L. Jackson) and star b-ball player Antwon "Skills" Taylor on TV's "One Tree Hill."
He's also had recurring spots on shows like "The Parkers" and "Boston Public." And Antwon is making a name for himself in the indie film world with parts in the slasher flick "7eventy 5ive" and the drama "My Friend My Hero" (which is about, you guessed it, basketball).
Did You Know? Antwon says he realized he had a passion for acting the first time he got paid for it. Being able to support himself (and his young son) by doing something fun? Sounds like a winning combination to us.
