The saying goes that behind every great man, there's a great woman -- and on "MVP," there are usually two or three.
"MVP: The Secret Lives of Hockey Wives" goes behind the scenes of the privileged world of sports with the Mustangs hockey team -- where nothing is resolved quite as simply as the game itself.
Episode Name: Mad Scramble

The End Of The Beginning In A Word: Gabe survives, and convinces Connie to accept his proposal, but Wanda Gilford, Girl Reporter has some news for him. Evelyn finds Molly with help from a psychic, and hands Malcolm his comeuppance with help from Taff Baron. Trevor looks for his soul. Trebuchet comes to terms with his family's death, but perhaps too late.
The Action: Before we get to the exciting Molly-finding, marriage-proposing action, a few other subplots ...
. Aleksei is still getting harassed by the Russian bookie and his team of Gothy henchwomen. He's playing a game of chess in a bar when Sergei and the Pussycats get him around the neck with a garrote and threaten him: They want two million dollars, or they'll kill Aleksei's little niece back in Russia who just LOVES listening to music.
Later, when Aleksei comes home to find a package at his front door, it's not too hard to guess what it contains. That's right: It's his niece's ear, wrapped up "Blair Witch"-style.
Meanwhile, between the shooting and Trebuchet's breakdown, Trevor is wondering what he's doing there. Malcolm says Trevor can take the weekend off, but he's under contract to the team, period. Trevor stops JUST short of blaming Malcolm for Trebuchet's problems, and Agent Carla chides Malcolm for not treating Trevor more like a long-term investment; it's too late for the two of them to get their souls back, but maybe it's not for Trevor, who doesn't want to turn into Trebuchet.
