EJ's surgery is touch and go as Daniel and Carly fight to save his life. At one point, he flat lines but they're able to revive him and remove the bullet. Later, Stefano, Kate, and Lexie are incredibly relieved to hear that EJ made it through surgery. Stefano's upset when Daniel admits there could be some brain damage but Lexie tries to put his mind at ease. They'll know more when EJ regains consciousness.
A nurse wonders who shot EJ and Carly says maybe he can tell them when he wakes up. Bo questions Kate and learns that they were on the yacht last night. Kate remembers calling Sami and blurts out that she knows who did it, just as Stefano approaches and confronts her for holding back information. Kate backtracks, telling Bo about the end of Stefano and Victor's peace agreement. Bo agrees to look into Victor as a suspect. Later, Nicole shows up and Stefano lashes out, convinced that she's the one responsible for shooting his son.
Vivian eavesdrops as Brady confronts Victor about his feelings for Maggie and warns him not to hurt her. Later, Vivian listens in as Victor calls Maggie and expresses concern for her safety now that the DiMera feud might be back on. Victor thinks it's best that Maggie leave on her trip after all. Once he's off the phone, Vivian tells Victor that she's changed her mind -- she's not going to Tahiti. She wants to stick around for Isabella's memorial.
Nathan congratulates Chloe on her pregnancy. She's offended when he asks if Daniel is the father and angrily assures him that he is. Meanwhile, Stephanie convinces Ian to help her determine who switched the paternity test and Melanie tells Philip that she's going to throw Chloe a baby shower.
