Ladies' man turned family man
When Brandon and Steve first become friends, they seem like total opposites. Brandon's practical, nice, and hardworking, while Steve's an overfunded jokester playboy. Steve may be the one who changes the most during the series ... OK, he also has the furthest to go. And it takes him a while to get there. Throughout high school and college, Steve cheats on tests, hacks into the school's grading system, kidnaps other schools' mascots (couldn't have made it 10 seasons without that old standby), and dates or hits on every hottie in sight. He also struggles with being adopted and having a self-involved TV-star mom. Not to mention an ultra-demanding dad -- who turns out to be his real father. On a trip to Arizona, Steve eventually learns his dad had an affair with his bio-mom. After college, his dad buys him a newspaper (lucky break). But some of Brandon's good-guy mojo must have rubbed off, because Steve manages to make the business work. Plus, he falls in love for real with one of his employees. Janet gets pregnant and they get married, and suddenly, Steve's Mr. Mom. We didn't know he had it in him.
