Two thoroughly Midwestern kids arrive in ritzy Beverly Hills -- total fish out of water at rich, hip West Beverly High. It's not hard for Brandon and Brenda Walsh to make new friends ... but actually fitting in is a whole different story. When they get to know the in crowd, they find out that rich kids have problems too ... teen pregnancy, drugs and alcohol, rotten parents, lost trust funds, etc. They just wear cooler clothes, drive nicer cars, and throw better parties.

"Beverly Hills, 90210" is the teen drama that launched 1,000 TV tales of high-school angst. (Not to mention a spin-off, the totally over-the-top "Melrose Place.")

The show lasted the whole of the '90s, picking up on every hot-button issue you can think of and giving us more pop-culture moments than we can even begin to list here. It started as the story of Brandon and Brenda, two outsiders trying to make it inside. But as the years rolled on, everyone -- poor little rich girl Kelly, spoiled playboy Steve, surfing rebel Dylan, good girl Donna, geeky DJ David, and many others -- got time in the spotlight.

The fashions and the music and the social concerns might seem dated, but the drama is still fresh ... because some things never change. And, hey, maybe some of those styles weren't so bad. Sideburn revival, anyone?
