It speaks volumes about Tom that, after his 2007 heart attack, his friends and family threw a "Thank God He's Alive!" party. He was surprised by the gesture, but we weren't. He's the kind of guy we want around in good times and NEED around in bad ones.

That's not to say Tom doesn't have his faults, of course. (He may be good guy Bob Hughes's son, but he's also bad girl Lisa Grimaldi's!) Although the legal eagle's been married forever to police detective Margo, he has a weakness for troublemakers. Not only was he once engaged to Barbara Ryan, his extramarital fling with ex-hooker Emily Stewart resulted in love child Daniel.

However, it's Tom's son with Margo, Casey, who really stresses his ticker. No sooner had the kid been sprung from prison than he'd started sleeping with Emily. Guess he wasn't paying attention when Tom told him, "Do who I say, not who I do."
