Nothing to See here, this should be the show detail.
Student/Barista
Admitting you're gay can be tricky under the best of circumstances. Noah's situation was quite possibly the worst: His dad, Col. Winston Mayer, was such a raging homophobe that the golden boy tried to convince himself he was into Maddie Coleman rather than cop to his affection for her best friend, Luke Snyder.
In the end, of course, Noah's heart wanted what it wanted -- and it got what it wanted too: Much to Maddie's embarrassment, her boyfriend and Luke started going steady. But before they could consummate their love, do-gooder Noah stepped up and married -- yes, married! -- Ameera Ali Aziz, a refugee from war-torn Iraq, to keep her from being deported.
Buzz kill!
And that's just the way it seems to go for Noah. Either something -- like his homicidal dad -- pops up to keep him from really enjoying his freedom, or he creates a roadblock for himself. If revealing himself was the first step in his journey, really accepting himself will have to come next.
