Katie always wants to get her own way and doesn't mind if that gets her into trouble -- although she's real good at getting out of trouble before other people even realize she started it. No stranger to cheating, blackmail, or even a poisoned sandwich, she's furthered her career by pretending to be stalked and letting an innocent friend take the rap for the imaginary crime. And she tricked a guy into marriage by claiming to be pregnant, and wrote a tell-all about Oakdale in the form of novel, in which she accused Carly and Simon of a crime she didn't know they'd actually committed. (She says she's so much more mature these days ...)

But Katie's wound up with a few scars on her own heart. She's still unhappy Mike left her after she cheated on him with Simon, and that Simon left her for Carly. And she really wishes Carly would leave ex-hubby Jack, whom Katie adores, alone. Katie would love to have a normal marriage to a nice guy -- preferably a guy whose ex-wife lives in another hemisphere.

She's way too picky for her own good, but she's self-motivated, hard-working, and always keeps her eyes on the prize. And Katie isn't a total monster -- she donated a piece of her liver to sister Margo, who was dying of hepatitis C. Sometimes she even makes good things happen, however unintentionally.
