Zach isn't too thrilled.Recap by Jaime Leon Lin-Yu

In a Word: Annie’s condition worsens. Aidan is willing to do whatever it takes to keep Kendall. Amanda tells Angie what really happened between her and David.

The Action: At the hospital, Scott stands by Annie’s bedside, willing her to wake up. It turns out that Annie lost a lot of blood and she is in a coma. Scott holds Annie’s hand and urges her to “stick it” to everyone by waking up, but there is still no response from her. David enters and confirms that Annie may not make it, so Scott asks him to do something for Annie. What could it be?

At the police station, Erica tells a stoic Adam that Annie lost the baby. Worse, she is in a coma. Adam’s face goes pale and he puts his hand on his heart. Joe is called to check on Adam and wants to take him to the hospital, but Adam insists that he needs to stay in jail. Scott enters, and while Adam wants nothing to do with Scott, Scott gives Jesse a DVD. It’s the security tape where Annie begged Adam for forgiveness and poured her heart out to him. Jesse plays the DVD for Adam, who initially refuses to watch it, but succumbs when he hears how much Annie loves him. His eyes water when Annie collapses, clearly having a miscarriage. Jesse turns it off and lets Scott return. Scott knows Adam doesn’t want to see him, but he needs to know this: Scott was not the father of Annie’s baby. Adam is. Here is the blood test stating that. Yes, he was attracted to Annie, but he knows that Annie always loved Adam. Adam is so moved that he requests to see Annie and because Scott paved the way, Adam is allowed to sit by Annie’s side. He cries over her body and tells her how sorry he is that her last moments spent believing he didn’t love her. Will Adam’s voice be just the thing to wake Annie up?

Ryan fears that Annie may die, so he asks Corinna—the town’s hardest working babysitter—to bring Emma to the hospital. He explains to Emma that Annie had an operation and now needs to wake up; maybe Emma can help her! So he brings Emma in, where she kisses her mom on the cheek. Is it just us or is Ryan really sorry that Annie may die? Later, Ryan tells an unconscious Annie that he did love her once and begs her to wake up. Our daughter needs you! Funny that Ryan refers to Emma as “their” daughter now that Annie is sick. He always says “my” daughter whenever he and Annie fight.

While Erica is concerned for Adam, she is also uber excited that Kendall can come home now. She asks Ryan to go with her to Zach’s to welcome Kendall home, but Ryan wants to stay with Emma in case Annie dies. So Erica heads over to Casa Slater, where she finds Opal packing up Ian’s stuff. Apparently, Zach had asked Opal to bring Ian over to Spike. Hm who is watching Spike if Ryan is in the hospital with Emma and Corinna went home? Anyway, Erica is even more confused when Zach returns home and heads straight for the bar. He gruffly tells Erica that this is no longer Kendall’s home and by the way, get out, Erica! Erica can’t believe Zach’s attitude. What happened to him? If he isn’t going to bring Kendall home, then she will!

So what happened between Kendall and Zach? Zach arrives at the boarding house just in time to see Aidan having sex with Kendall. Or is it really her? After all, the last time we saw Kendall, she was drugged and sleeping it off upstairs. Zach barges in wielding a gun, but is scared off by Kat. He doesn’t see that the woman Aidan was with was actually Candy, Kendall’s double! Turns out Aidan paid her to impersonate Kendall once again just in case Zach showed up. Unfortunately, Zach totally buys Aidan’s devious plan and drives off into the night, nearly getting into a car accident. After he kicks Erica out of his house, he finds a message from Kendall on his computer, asking him if they are all right. Zach can’t believe Kendall’s audacity and starts trashing the room. It’s too bad that Zach didn’t stay to yell at Kendall; then he would’ve seen that is wasn’t her!

Upstairs, Kendall wakes up with a wicked hangover and a drugged headache. She stumbles to the door when she hears voices downstairs. To her horror, the door is locked! In desperation, she weakly grabs a chair and tries to slam it against the door. Aidan appears and tells an angry Kendall that the door must’ve gotten jammed. And those voices she heard downstairs? That was him watching a movie on Kat’s computer; it definitely wasn’t him arguing with Candy and Kat. Kendall buys Aidan's story and tells him she had a bad dream where she lost Zach, so she gets online to send him a message asking if they are okay. Downstairs, Aidan lets the message go through, smiling to himself. Kendall then checks a news website and sees that Adam confessed. Hooray, she can go home! She excitedly runs downstairs and tells Kat who she is, but suddenly a hand smothers Kendall from behind! Aidan steps out from the shadows. Guess he is willing to do anything it takes to keep Kendall with him.

Jake overhears Amanda tells David to never touch her again. He runs into the room and starts pummeling David. Gee, that is professional, but we guess that Jake is having a hard time controlling his emotions when it comes to David. Angie hears the commotion and sends Jake home. Then she takes Amanda into an examination room where she gently treats Amanda as a rape victim. Amanda bursts into tears and confesses everything to Angie. Jake can never know she slept willingly with David! Angie is sympathetic, but urges Amanda to tell Jake the truth. Keeping secrets from him is just plain ole’ bad news. While Angie comforts Amanda, Jake heads over to Tad’s place where Krystal is watching Trevor. She sees Jake’s red and swollen knuckles ad groans. What did David do now? Jake tells her how strange David and Amanda are acting. Krystal sees Amanda's behavior first hand when Amanda arrives to pick up Trevor. Amanda sees Jake and starts to cry again. She tells Jake how much she misses up. Do you think she’ll fess up?

I knew that David isn't Trevor's father. Jake is. It is about time that the story line ends soon.
