"The Young and the Restless" Sneak Peek: Week of 6/29/09
Did everybody catch Friday's episode of "The Young and the Restless"? If you did, then you know the results of Sharon's paternity test are in -- and Nick is officially her baby's father. We have to admit, we secretly wanted it to be Billy's just so we could watch him freak out again. But Sharon definitely got the outcome she was hoping for all along.
Next week starts with Sharon walking on air, anticipating the expression of pure joy on Nick's face when he hears the good news. But all of that is put on hold when Sharon finds out that Summer's been rushed to the hospital. Poor little Summer. She's in really bad shape and both Nick and Phyllis are beside themselves with worry. After seeing them -- and how much Nick's other family needs him right now -- Sharon makes a rash decision. A crazy decision. A potentially life-ruining decision. Sharon's specialty, lately. Only this time, she honestly believes she's doing the right thing for everyone involved. (We'd beg to differ, but whatevs. We like the drama.)
Oh, and you know how Mary Jane gave Summer that creepy peanut-laced kiss last week? The one that set all of this mayhem in motion? Well, that was just the beginning of her psychotic plan to keep Phyllis away from Jack, and by the end of the week ... Phyllis is arrested!
Meanwhile, Cane gets nervous trying to distract the nurse at the lab long enough to switch Phillip/Langley's blood for his own. It's totally worth all the trouble, though, when the DNA test proves once and for all that he is who he says he is. And that's it. Phillip stays in Australia and Cane lives happily ever after as Jill's imposter son ...

I hate to see Lily get hurt again.
Have they figured out that Mary Jane is behind what happened to Summer? Putting that little girl through that just to keep Phyllis away from Jack. If Victor finds out MaryJane may turn up missiing.
Nick is following in Dad's footsteps, Victor had his affairs too. But really would like to see Nick and Sharon together. Can't stand Phylis. She is trouble and drove Nick away. Look at her track record.

What do you guys really feel about the s/l about Cane? I like Cane and now that they are showing him as a con artists I do not like it. Somewhere in the back of my mind I am hoping that he is either Jack or Victor's son with the woman who is supposed to be his mother. I for one feel that the biggest con in this whole scheme is Phillip 111 what was his motive for staging his own death? Cane came across as a genuine character really looking for family/love.
I think it will come out that Nick is the father of Sharon's baby. I also think the writers had to have the story line with Summer because it will come out that Jack is actually Summer's father, not Nick!!
I wish it would come out about Adam and his scheming way. It seems like Victor is being portrayed as a weak man. If he as security, why doesn't Victor have cameras to see Adam coming and going on the property. Let's get real!!!!!!!!
i think sharon should have told nick the truth and that the writers should wake up!!
I agree. Soaps are losing viewers because of stupid story lines. If you want to keep us coming back, get realistic. Sometimes I think the writers need a trip to rehab so they can think clearer!
The actress who plays Mac looks too old for Billy. She looks almost Jill's age! It's those bags under her eyes! Sharon looks younger than Mac!!!! Come on, you can do better casting than that. I cringe when I watch them.
I agree that Sharon should have told Nick the truth!! Am getting very sick of this storyline..all the flip flopping back and forth..the writers need to get their you know what together. I am to the point of not watching the show anymore. Enough is enough!!!!
Favorite story is with Jana,Daniel,Kevin & Amber. I am so sick of Jill and her whining, bit**ing & complaining - someone really needs to put her in her place. She makes me want to throw up - i am so sick of her! Sharon is getting on my nerves as well - what a schmuck Jack is! How many times is he going to take her back - and her lies WOW - how dare she judge Phylissis! Can we please expose Adam already - and I find it hard to believe that Victor nor Ashley have figured out that he is faking his eye disease and all the stuff that he has been doing to Ashley.(Pretty sad that Nicki can fgure it out but not Victor- come on now) We all know that Victor is way smarter than that so please enough already with the Adam crap. One of the reasons I so enjoy the Young and the Restless is due to the fact that you don't draggggggggg out the storyline like most soaps do. You play it out so well most of the time - but with this one its getting really old! Isn't it about time for Tyra to hit the road? She really isn't that good of an actress - and she is another whiner its time to ditch her - PLEASE!!!!
tyra needs to go back where she came from, and jill deserves everything she gets,and murphy needs more air time, and i think jack needs to give her a job at jabott and send her to tokoyo and be done with that problem and the truth really needs to come out about cane
