So on the heels of that HUGE announcement that Oscar-nominated movie star James Franco will be spending a couple months hanging around Port Charles, we've been thinking about our favorite guest appearances on daytime shows.
The first one that sprang to mind, of course, was that grande dame to your left there: Elizabeth Taylor showing up on General Hospital, crashing Luke and Laura's wedding as Helena Cassadine, surely set the standard.
But what about some other big guest appearances? Carol Burnett on All My Children? Betty White on The Bold and the Beautiful? Roseanne on General Hospital AND One Life to Live? Hit up the comments here and sound off -- who are we forgetting?

He looks like Keifter so they can be brothers and he will probably catch his brother doing something stupid and put him in check. He will be an excellent addition to the cast and I'm looking forward to see how you use this great acting ability.
I love James Franco and GH is my fave daytime soap. I can't wait!!!!!!
In a soap opera I also favor Elizabeth Taylor as Helena Cassadine.
I loved Dame Elizabeth Taylor as herself in The Nanny.
Elizabeth Taylor as Helena Cassadine is my first choice, and now James Franco will be my second! OMG I LOVE JAMES FRANCO!!!
Both Joan Van Ark and Ted Shackleford from Knots Landing on Young and The Restless........
Linda Gray on the Bold and the Beautiful. I loved her as Sue Ellen on Dallas and any opportunity to see her again on a soap is great TV.

Carol Burnett was my favourite guest star. She played the part sooooo well and there was the 1 scene where they were in the hooker bar when Elizabeth Taylor came in dressed as the cleaning woman from the Carol Burnett show. Hilarious!
My favorite was just recently with Lionel Ritchie on One live to live.
