"General Hospital"'s Maxie Jones has always lived with a bit of survivor's guilt, wondering why she lived and her cousin B.J. died in that bus accident all those years ago. Well, on February 24th, the show is going to present an alternative version of Port Charles where Maxie is the one who died and B.J. survived.
Yes! Longtime "GH" fans are very familiar with the 1993 storyline that saw Bobbie and Tony Jones's daughter, B.J., get hit by a bus and die. B.J.'s heart was then transplanted to her cousin Maxie, who was dying of heart disease. The story was hugely emotional and very memorable and won "GH" a whole lot of acclaim. It was, in our opinion, one of the best stories "GH" has ever done. Remember the iconic image of Tony listening to his daughter's heart in Maxie's body?
So in this fantasy episode, B.J. (played by our Maxie, Kirsten Storms) is the one who survived, and we get to see how different Port Charles would be without Maxie. You can bet things would be different for folks like Spinelli, Lulu, and Mac. But the influence stretches a good bit beyond them as well. We get to see a totally different Carly (who's married to someone you wouldn't expect), Robin like we haven't seen her and, yes, Bobbie Spencer is in the episode!
How do you anticipate Port Charles would be without Maxie?
