Weekly Crush: Maurice Benard
Soap fans are all too familiar with the allure of the bad boy. And for a long time there has been no character more charming while doing bad, bad things like Sonny Corinthos on General Hospital.
These days, Sonny's not being charming so much as angry (at Johnny Zacchara), defensive (at Kristina's accusations of abuse), and despondent (over Michael being in prison).
And so, almost as a way to reward Sonny fans for seeing their character through such hard times, we decided to make Maurice Benard the subject of our Weekly Crush gallery.

Am I the only person who is getting so tired of Sonny's selfishness and Carly's stupidity about their children, or anyone other than themselves...it's really getting tiresome listening to these 2 who think they are above the law!!
Maurice Bernard is one of the two reasons I watch GH...the 2nd being Jason. These 2 guys are the hottest guys on the soaps...Sonny with those dimples & Jason with those steel blue eyes...

Maurice does an excellent job of playing Sonny. He brings just the right elements into the scene and his SEXINESS, LOOKS, and TUNNEL VISION tie the entire scene together. Sonny absolutely makes GH a "need to watch show today and everyday." Thank you for bringing this character to the screen and allowing us "old" ladies to dream about his beautiful soulful eyes and those "drop-dead" georgous dimples. Keep up the good work Sonny. Even when you are bad, you are delightful.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sonny has made a lot of mistakes (as a character) but Maurice Bernard kills it! He's sexy, talented, dedicated and just dand SEXY!... lol Those dimples and that smile are to die for. Even if Sonny does some crazy stuff on screen I wouldn't miss an epi - I watch because Maurice makes the character of Sonny stand out. Love him!!!
I agree that the writers are definately going way to dark with Sonny. We need to see the side of Sonny we first fell in love with. The part of Sonny that Robin is always talking about. Give him back his balance. We need to see "THE DIMPLES"
I'm honestly surprised anyone could have a crush on Maurice with the horrible character he's forced to portray. I used to love Sonny, but he just keeps getting worse and worse. I guess it's a testament to Maurice's acting chops that he can play a character that disgusts me so much though. Impressed with his skills? Yes. But a crush? No. Sonny has become such a narcissitic, pathetic, self centered idiot ande I can barely stand to watch scenes with him in them anymore.
Get Maurice Benard love you boy. Please don't take him off the show.
