Wednesday Crush: Farewell, Coop

We're so sad to see John leaving "Guiding Light," but not TOO sad that we can't enjoy this picture.

OK...so we're still kind of in shock from Coop's sudden demise on "Guiding Light." Emmy nominee John Driscoll played Coop with so much strength and heart and intelligence, even when the character was doing the most ill-advised, outrageous things. Like driving a bulldozer through the Spaulding mansion gates to rescue Lizzie, or flying halfway around the world to stop Alan-Michael from bedding Ava, or stealing baddie Alan Spaulding's woman right from under his nose ...

Check out our slideshow of John in all his gorgeous good-guy glory.

That's what we adored the most about Coop. Everything he did, he did for love. And he had no regrets about any of it, not even when his fateful drive to bust up Beth's wedding landed him in the hospital. Because, as Coop put it, he "still got the girl."
