Why Kate, shouldn't you be menacing Chloe and not enjoying Adam Lambert?

So there we were, watching "Songs From the Movies" night on "American Idol" and hoping against hope for someone to do Elisabeth Shue's immortal "Babysitting Blues" from the '80s classic "Adventures in Babysitting" (for the record: Allison Iraheta could have KILLED with that song), when the camera cuts to the audience for various reaction shots, at which point HEY, THAT WAS KATE FROM "DAYS"!

Did you guys see that? Are we such fans of Lauren Koslow and her devious-yet-sexy-grandma take on Kate Roberts that we're seeing her everywhere? That's possible, but we're almost positive that was her. Please, readers, hit up the comments and tell us we're not alone. Did you yelp? (We ... may have yelped.) Did you involuntarily hiss "Sssssssami!" at the sight of her? We need backup on this.

Lauren wouldn't be the first daytime star to show up on "Idol" this season. Earlier this year, Elisabeth Hasselbeck attended the live show while "The View" was in L.A. You can check out the video here.
