Two Casting Changes on One Life to Live
The best thing about Llanview -- aside from Dorian's outfits -- is that every day brings a new twist. Some exciting news developing today is that the show is getting not one, but TWO new cast members.
Josh Kelly -- who we previously reported will be playing Viki and Clint's son, Joey -- will now be playing a different role: A mysterious, charming and handsome (duh, look at him) guy set to shake up the Llanview scene. Actor Tom Degnan will be taking over the role of Joey, who is still set to return to Llanview on November 24th. Neither actor has started taping yet, so no word on whether their characters will interact.
Why the change? Executive Producer Frank Valentini explains: "After auditioning a talented group of guys for the role of Joey, we are excited to announce that not one but two of them will be joining the cast of One Life to Live in contract roles. We have now cast Tom Degnan in the role of Viki's son, Joey Buchanan, and we have decided that Josh Kelly is a great fit for the other contract role that we have written. We look forward to both actors joining the show."
So there you have it -- Llanview's population is growing by two (and a Buchanan at that)!

Sweet - cant wait to see what happens. Hopefully it will turn some heads- Maybe even have some ties into the new Aubry charater that is going to apear soon.
solve mysteries, like how Elijah Clarke is supposed to be the killer of Melinda Cramer and when Allison Perkins was last on she is the one who stated a Cramer would die and she is connected to nasty Mitchell Laurence/Michael Lazarus, also get actors who age-appropriate to play characters that are rapidly aged. Echo DiSavoy will be Rex's mother and either Clint or Charlie will be his father.
Well Scott Clifton is on B&B now, playing the long lost son of Bill Spencer. So things worked for him. Don't know who the other guy is or where he's working now.
Ye contracts don't mean anything ...
I'm very glad certain characters left the show way before their contracts were over ...%99 of the time it's the right decision that OLTL makes to help their ratings up.....so let's hope they will make right choices cz i'm really enjoying OLTL current story lines and most of the cast ....
why not keep him the same and the other guy play the other part..
I'm disappointed because Josh looks more like he could be Vicki's son than Tom.
Tom looks more like the last Joey than Josh. The last Joey had dark hair, diff nose than Josh. Hopefully Josh will be a new man interest for Kelly.
OMG I cant believe JOSH KELLY is the one! We are so lucky about the change over! He is so dreamy.... like more than A.C. Slater dreamy!!! And I hear he's a good kisser on set!!!
You are absolutely right HalfMpT.....and it doesnt warrant much faith in FV after the way these two talented actors and their fans were treated and 'cheated'...so before anyone gets too invested in these new actors and their characters they should be aware that contracts dont mean 'security' on this show and the reward for their loyalty could be ..ZERO..just as it was for Kish and Sky fans....
