According to Entertainment Weekly, True Blood has cast a lupine crush for Sookie, whose beloved bloodsucker Bill was kidnapped by a silver-wielding mystery foe in the recent finale.

And now for the frosting on the cake: The new character, Alcide, will be played by Joe Manganiello, who won us over as One Tree Hill's bartender/extreme basketball player/and Brooke-boyfriend, Owen!

If the HBO series follows the book's storyline for Alcide, he will be brought in by Eric to help Sookie search for Bill. Long nights on the road with a handsome manwolf? There's bound to be a little attraction.
