
"La Anatomia de Grey'" and "Hermanos y Hermanas"? Si! Locally produced, Spanish-language versions of "Grey's Anatomy" and "Brothers & Sisters" are headed for TV airwaves in Latin America.
Since ABC cloned the Colombian soap opera "Ugly Betty" and turned it into a hit, it's only fair to return the favor. The trade has been a winner so far: Versions of "Desperate Housewives" in Colombia, Ecuador, Argentina, and Brazil have scored with local viewers.
Unlike made-in-Hollywood programs that are exported and dubbed by native speakers or subtitled, these takes on the shows star all-new casts, but they follow the format and scripts of the U.S. originals.
