On All My Children, JR's on his deathbed and the only one who can save him is his enemy (and current stepmother), Annie. She's donating her bone marrow -- not so much because she's a nice person, but more because she wants to score points with his father. But still, the act itself should generate at least a "thank you" from JR when he finds out (boy, are those going to be great scenes!).

This got us to thinking about other examples of characters getting life-saving gifts. So we decided to put together a gallery of the Top 11 characters we hope listen to Oprah and keep a gratitude journal. Because, thanks to some generosity, they are alive. OK, one of them is dead. And one of the gifts wasn't so much given as stolen. But whatever ...
