The Young and the Restless: Week in Review for November 1, 2010
Another week of The Young and the Restless, another batch of memorable moments both scandalous and wonderful. Read our favorites below, and let us know what yours were!
Best Moment: Despite what we may or may not say about how it came about below, we thought Mac and J.T.'s wedding was lovely. Billy's farewell to Mac was sweet, but even sweeter was the way he stood by Victoria after that heartwrenching goodbye to Reed. It was such a clear example of how much he's matured.
Of course, we'd be remiss if we also didn't call out Victor's INSANE flip on Meggie at the end of Friday's episode as well. Has he been playing her all along?
Funniest Moment: Phyllis attempting to pronounce the word grandmother was pretty amazing, but we're going to have to credit the entirety of Victor and Meggie's drugged-out wedding in the sky as this week's biggest crack-up. First -- we had no idea TGVN could get even MUMBLIER (not a word, but go with us on this one). Next -- what do you drug a person with that makes them so groovy and agreeable? Because ... it's Friday night, y'all, and we could use some. And finally, bless the pilot. He really stood in for us on that plane, conveying confusion, bemusement, and complete incredulity all at once.
WTH? Moment: J.T. and Mac get the most sudden last-minute farewell a couple ever could. Listen, kudos to Mrs. C for pulling off (yet another) Chancellor house wedding in mere minutes. But why did she have to?
Performer of the Week: It was a rough week for Victoria, which translated to a wonderful week for Amelia Heinle. Coping with two family crises -- Nikki in rehab, Reed going off to D.C. -- Amelia played Vicky as hurt, but ultimately, strong.
Why We Love The Young and the Restless This Week: Nikki trolls social networks at rehab, Daisy's back with Daniel's maybe-baby (didn't she get the message from Amber? He doesn't want kids!!), and Murphy is blinking the most inefficient morse code message ever. "Danger?" "Danger?" Murphy? Let's get straight to the point here, and start spelling Meggie.

I agree with your assessment of the week. I'm beyond happy that it looks like Meggie will be gone very soon. I just hope it doesn't mean a happy reconciliation for Nikki and Victor. They are the definition of dysfunctional.
The thought of dealing with Meggie and Daisy onscreen simultaneously is just too awful. I don't know where Daisy's baby story is heading; I would just like Lauren to continue to be strong. I didn't enjoy seeing her so fearful of that awful girl.
In response to an earlier post, I have to say that I really don't even understand the whole "Billy is Victoria's lapdog" comment.
If it's in reference to Billy going after Victor, well, Billy hated the man long before he and Victoria got together, and now that Victor is being so outrageously conniving in his effort to get the lawsuit dropped, his hatred is simply more intense. Her name might be on the lawsuit, but this current battle is just as much Billy's as Victoria's. It's understandable that he wants Victor to finally get some form of punishment for being the wrecking ball he is. It was Billy's wedding too that Victor ruined and it was his baby too that was lost (and it's actually Billy - not Victoria - who blames Victor for that). Victor was clearly trying to buy Heather's services to give himself an unfair advantage in the suit. Was Billy supposed to ignore that? Victoria did encourage him to post the article, but he had already written the thing, and the dialogue made it clear that Billy alone deliberated about it more before he posted.
If the comment is in reference to Billy going directly to Nikki to expose Victor's lies, and then to J.T. to try to convince him to not take Reed, well, Victoria wasn't even aware of him doing either. My gosh, when did it get to be such a negative thing for a man to love his wife enough to want to ease her suffering?
Billy is not Victoria's lap dog. he is being a loving husband as he should be. Not much of that going around these days. Yes I am glad Victor found out Meggie. She needs to go. Victor is a jerk though. Victoria played a excellent part this week but why didn't JT let her have her son since they are leaving the show anyway. What is up with that? I hate to see him go. He has been a regular for ever. I know he is pursuing new things but the show needs him. Can't wait to see what next week brings. Nikki need a new man, a good man. Not trash as Victor pointed out to her this week. As if he is so perfect.
Ok, so what happens now.... the coming attractions show Victor going into Nicki's room. She has a sheet wrapped around her, PLEASE tell me that Decan is not going to be in the bed when Victor walks in. What do you think happens next??
I can not understand how Billy got to be so Goody Goody,he does not match with Victoria he has become a dumb looking person very boring,he needs to start back to cheating on Victoria or something their relationship needs to be out ! Not a good match.Daisy storyline is plain stupid ,Murphy needs to write the stuff down or let him look at letters on flash cards then he can spell Danger and Meggie by blinking his eyes hurry up on that Please.I want to see Victor has out smarted Meggie the whole entier time she never fit in Genea CITY OR vICTORS LIFE OR IN HIS HOUSE. i LOVE vICTOR nEWMAN THE REASON i HAVE WATCHED THIS SOAP FOR MANY YEARS HE DESERVES AN EMMY EVERY YEAR!
yes,Yes, it is about time for Victor to know what Meggie has been doing all along let Victor send that B---- on another planet i am sick of Meggie and do not like the writers making Victor look that stupid.Victor is supposed to Always come out on top no matter what and if the writers do not let Victor get Meggie and win that dern lawsuit I am going to stop wathching Y&R,and I have been watching this soap since I was 15 years old and now I am 50 years old .You writers best get Victor back on top or this long time fan is gone.Niki and Victor have always belonged together they have too much time and deep love for them not to be together .
Oh, I so agree with you. She was awesome!!!! I just loved the way Billy seemed to be feeling her every pain. Oh, I love those two together.
Haha great job acting like a drug out Victor. Hope he's on to Meggy and finds out that she's the one who got Nicki back on alcohol. Hopefully he find out that Decan and Meggy are a team, and don't let Nicki fall for Decan. Let Nicki and Victor be back together. I have been watching this soap since I was 16 and I am now 51, and Nicki and Victor being together are the back bone of this soap. Poor Murphy, can't he manage to tap out

I think she messed up by believing what she saw in stead of waiting to find out the truth. Victor always appears to be guilty until proven innocent. (Not that he is an angel, but who is????

Thank god, Victor grabbed that _ _ _ _ _ by the ears and WOKE up...He is to SMART for that. He makes the show. So watch the writing, (even though it was a great shot).
Victor Newman is the Young & the Restless , along with his disfunctional family. Even the RICH have their issues...
Billy and Victoria are Victor & Nikki reversed. She is just like her father, and that is a good twist. I love Nick's part and want him in there with the whole clan. Nick and Sharon need to be together, the way their deceased daughter predicted.... I don't think you should mess with perfection....If it works don't fix it...I have been watching this show since I was 14 years old, I am 51 now. That should send the message...Best SOAP ever....Please let Mrs. Chancellors new hubby stay for a long time...I love what he brings to the show...Real People....Love you all, doing a great job...I can't wait to come home every evening and watch Y&R on TV. It's one of the things in my life that brings me such pleasure, Thank You!!! Peace to the world...I could go on and on and on, but I'll stop now (Phyllis is great also)....I love you Victor...Rock on Big Guy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i can"t wait to see the y& R tonight on soapnet just to see what V N has in store for maggie, and tell me something did nicky elude rehab or did she get that drink.
