The Young and the Restless: Week in Review for November 1, 2010
Another week of The Young and the Restless, another batch of memorable moments both scandalous and wonderful. Read our favorites below, and let us know what yours were!
Best Moment: Despite what we may or may not say about how it came about below, we thought Mac and J.T.'s wedding was lovely. Billy's farewell to Mac was sweet, but even sweeter was the way he stood by Victoria after that heartwrenching goodbye to Reed. It was such a clear example of how much he's matured.
Of course, we'd be remiss if we also didn't call out Victor's INSANE flip on Meggie at the end of Friday's episode as well. Has he been playing her all along?
Funniest Moment: Phyllis attempting to pronounce the word grandmother was pretty amazing, but we're going to have to credit the entirety of Victor and Meggie's drugged-out wedding in the sky as this week's biggest crack-up. First -- we had no idea TGVN could get even MUMBLIER (not a word, but go with us on this one). Next -- what do you drug a person with that makes them so groovy and agreeable? Because ... it's Friday night, y'all, and we could use some. And finally, bless the pilot. He really stood in for us on that plane, conveying confusion, bemusement, and complete incredulity all at once.
WTH? Moment: J.T. and Mac get the most sudden last-minute farewell a couple ever could. Listen, kudos to Mrs. C for pulling off (yet another) Chancellor house wedding in mere minutes. But why did she have to?
Performer of the Week: It was a rough week for Victoria, which translated to a wonderful week for Amelia Heinle. Coping with two family crises -- Nikki in rehab, Reed going off to D.C. -- Amelia played Vicky as hurt, but ultimately, strong.
Why We Love The Young and the Restless This Week: Nikki trolls social networks at rehab, Daisy's back with Daniel's maybe-baby (didn't she get the message from Amber? He doesn't want kids!!), and Murphy is blinking the most inefficient morse code message ever. "Danger?" "Danger?" Murphy? Let's get straight to the point here, and start spelling Meggie.

i was glad to see JT and MAC leave they were boring.however it was all Mess up they way JT took Victoria's son.I think he should have left him with her & Billy..Please give Victoria back her son
i really love this show.
Happy to see the writers did not drag the Meggie's storyline on and on as in the Mrs.C's storyline and others. They let these storylines go on, on and on and that is they lose their viewers. I like Victor and Nikki. I am not at all sure about Sharon and Nick anymore, but I can see where they are going with their relationshp. I don't care for Billy and Victoria. I liked Billy with Choloe. They have a lot of characters to develop storylines for anyway. Goodbye to Adam, who got away clean from all of his games. The writers better keep things real because CBS only have 2 soaps now on air, Y&R and B&B.
Wow! I think the writer's have woken up! Victor scared the heck out of me when he grabbed Meggie by the hands! Now that's what this show needs. I can hardly wait to see how he got over so quickly from the drugs he took. Now, maybe we can see an end to Meggie and Deacon. They were really weak story lines.
Yes, JT and Mac will be missed. But there was no more of a story there. And JT has been on other shows, so Good Luck to him! He's moving on.
Sharon still looks like a drowned rat. Get a new hairdresser for that show. I've been in the corporate world and would never have been allowed to wear the sexy clothes these stars wear. Get real!!!
And PLEASE get Murphy back on the show. Let's hear the story behind Murphy's son and Meggie so she can be put in jail where she belongs.
What's with the Cane/Australia story line??????
Really what court would let JT take Reed out of the state? come on most of us have been through the custody court thing, first off JT would never have gotten custody let alone sole custody, and to be able to move out of state without a judge;s permission, come on, with the money Victoria has there is no way any of this would happen. And what happened to the sweet and comprimising Mac? I think being prego has gone to her sole. LOL
I'm not even watching Y & R read in a magazine that Nikki is going to sleep with Deacon GROSS mother and daughter sleeping with the same person... I haven't watched the soap in a while and dont miss it at all..The writing is just so unreal.... Get Meggie and Deacon off they are so over done already... Let Victoria keep her son JT is having another baby.... Again stopped watching... The story line is so fake.....Write different lines so I can watch again.... DO YOU HEAR US WRITERS>>>>>
I have always loved it when Victor and Nikki are together and they should be together now. I tired of all the other women after Victor. Victor needs to stop and think that Meggie and Deacan was in together on keeping him and Nikki apart. Victor needs to wake up if he is so smart and realize Deacan was in with Meggie on all of this.
I thought Friday was the best when Victor grabbed Meggie by the hair and ears. I laughed so hard when he did it.
I agree the writers are getting stale. I love Y&R. I'm a fan of like 25 years but I can write the script nearly every day. It's like the writers tap into the archives, change the date and a couple of names and bam! they've got another story line. Nikki and Victor SHOULD be together but with these writers' track record, it WON'T happen. This soap needs a mr and mrs matriarch. Victor and Nikki are IT. they had it but just couldn't STAND to keep it together. Victor will handle Meggie, he'll find Nikki who's already shacked up with Deacon. He won't forgive her cuz he'll be angry that she would have thought he'd be so stupid as to run off with Meggie..blah blah blah---BEEN THERE !!!!!!
Also, they should have NEVER broken up Sharon and Nick. Another AMAZING couple together. They had some of the steamiest sex scenes on daytime television and it's like the writers aren't satisfied!!! leave SOMEONE alone!!!!!!!!! We LIKED Sharon and Nick together. Both had hot bodies...hey give us a break!!!
Victoria needs a HAIR STYLIST--please???? what's with the two-tone doo?? she's got too much of an amazing body to look like crap on camera!!
Abby is better than the old one (no surprise there) but hey her and noah are just soaring through birthdays! hello???? the viewers are not stupid. we can count. noah went to summer camp at 11, came back 16. went to england for 3 months at 17, came back 20 something ?????
And Daniel could technically be arrested for statutory rape right now. it's a little unbelievable when no one around them ages along with them.
Leave Murph alone. He and Katherine are the most wholesome sweet duo on TV. LOVE the way he takes care of her. LEAVE IT THE WAY IT IS.
GLAD Mac is gone. SO pretentious with her righteous attitude. She's not as sweet as she seems. And she's a HORRIBLE actress. She's as bad as Ashley when she kisses a man. It's like they're kissing their brothers!!!!! UGH. JT on the other hand, I'll miss. Really a good actor.
Whew! Could go on all day with this. One more thing--GIVE CHLOE A STORY LINE. She's one of the best you have. great little actress with believable wit. LOVE HER !!!!!!!
y&r is the best show on television. Victor and Nikki have so much chemistry. Could the writers bring Adam back with a new love interest that could drive Victor over the edge.
i am going to miss jt and mack,it was a lovely wedding.nicki and victor do need to be together but he deserved everything he got.i was wondering if deacon was in the bed when he went to see nicki,he deserved it.i miss seeing nicholas and sharon,i hope they get back together.
