We're fast approaching the end of '08, which can only mean one thing: awards season! Kicking things off is the only show that admits to being a popularity contest, the People's Choice Awards. There are all kinds of SOAPnet faves up for your vote -- so check it out!

"Grey's Anatomy" is nominated for Favorite TV Drama, and Patrick "McDreamy" Dempsey gets a shout-out in the Male TV Star category. "Heroes" sneaks in under Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show, while "Ugly Betty" nabs a nomination for TV Comedy. "Brothers and Sisters" matriarch Sally Field is up for Female TV Star, and "Saving Grace"'s Holly Hunter has a chance to take home TV Drama Diva.

The most interesting categories for us, however, are Scene-Stealing Guest Star and New TV Drama. In the scene-stealer category, "Beverly Hills, 90210" actor Luke Perry is up against the comeback kid, Britney Spears. We'd cheer for Luke, but then again -- if he loses this year, will he return to "90210" to ensure he takes the trophy in '09? And, on the topic of "90210," it has nine competitors to take down in the New Drama contest, including Fox's sci-fi hit, "Fringe."
