Halt! First and foremost, if you haven't read our recap of last night's season opener, do so now. Because the recap's funny and the show is good.

Since Season 3 of "The Hills" wrapped up last May, these reality stars have hardly been out of sight. Lauren and her gang have been in magazines, on talk shows, at seemingly every big, glam event this summer (we half expected to spot 'em at the Olympics as part of the relay swim team). But last night, the wait was finally over, and they got back to being the guilty pleasures we know and (occasionally) love.

Last night's episode picked up some of the major dangling threads from last season: Audrina and Lo's ever-more-poisonous frenemy status; Heidi and Spencer's never-ending carnival of passive-aggression. We also got a hint of the new, like Heidi's sister Holly, and Lauren's square-jawed new hunk of a man. And Whitney was there, asking leading questions in an unconvincing manner! It's like we're home again!

So now that you've watched the episode -- or, heaven forbid, you missed it (!) -- check out our recap; we guarantee, you'll know more about what's happening than Audrina does. We can't let go of the recap. We know.
