Vanessa Marcil Giovinazzo returns to General Hospital on August 11th as Brenda Barrett. Brenda's return is such a huge deal because she made quite an impact in her time on the show (her time ran from 1992-98 and then a second stint in 2002-03).
Brenda's romances with Sonny and Jax were two of the biggest (and most tempestuous) of their era. Her friendships with Robin and the Quartermaines were beloved by the fans, and her contentious relationship with Jason made for some excellent television. There's a lot of history there.
