Sure, Lee Daniels would love to walk away with the Oscar® for Best Director for the film Precious: Based on the Novel "Push" by Sapphire -- but there may be something he wants even more: Susan Lucci in his next film!
"I'd work with Susan Lucci from All My Children," Daniels said on the Canadian TV show The Hour. "I've met everybody from Meryl Streep to Daniel Day-Lewis. I'd be blown away to meet Susan Lucci. She's sort of hot!"
Although Daytime's Leading Lady has made 13 movies for television -- including Seduced and Betrayed, Between Love and Hate, and The Bride in Black -- she has yet to appear on the big screen (save for a cameo in the 1981 comedy Young Doctors in Love).
Would you like to see Susan in a feature film?

La Lucci was the first daytime star to be on primetime!!! That's why other actors are jealous of her. She's been married to the same man for over thirty years and has two great children.
I love ANY chance to see Susan! Acting, dancing, singing... just love to see her in action! Go Susan!
I've seen all of Susan's TV movies and she is an excellent actress. You don't play a part for 40 years without talent! Get real people!
Well tell you the truth she would be very famous if she goes in the big screen, she has a lovely face and figure, and good personality and I think she would be good on the big screen
Give her a chance t,v. has been a long time for her, she needs more.
Terrible? Thats harsh. Shes been on the show for 30 plus years portraying a self absorbed, concieted diva. Shes obviously doing an amazing job if you cant tell the difference between her character and the actress who plays her.
What a huge loss for all of TV when Canary retires! He is adored by millions
I agree! her fame has so gone to her head she is a joke any more
That's surprising that Susan Lucci hasn't been on the big screen, other than a cameo in all her years in show biz. She's done Broadway, primetime TV, TV movies. She's done practically everything and NEVER left AMC. Other actors over the years have left daytime and did their thing and came back.
I think it's great that Lee Daniels would like to work with her again. Hopefully, the right project will come along for both of them.
She is so much NOT AN ACTOR. Nobody bobs their head like she does when she delivers a line....unless you are a dog bobblehead in the back window of a 1955 Chevy. She is terrible!! Big Screen? Funny. Ha Ha......Wish SHE was retiring instead of David Canary. Now THERE is a STAR!
Go La Lucci! After 40 years on All My Children, I would love to see her get a shot on the big screen.
I think Lucci is underrated for her talent. I think she would surprise us all with what she could do with a role that's a complete 180 from Erica.
