Sophia Bush Cast in Comedy Pilot

Sophia BushBrace yourself, One Tree Hill fans: Sophia Bush has been cast in a pilot.

 

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Sophia will play Haley, a Harvard grad who returns to Texas to meet up with an old flame in ABC comedy Southern Discomfort. Don Johnson and Mary Steenburgen are set to play her parents.

 

The pilot is in second position to Sophia's commitment to One Tree Hill, meaning if The CW picks up the series for an 8th season (fingers crossed!) -- she's in. While that's obviously the best-case scenario as far as we're concerned, we're just happy that the lady we know so well as Brooke Davis has a shot at being on our TVs next year regardless.

I FEEL LIKE THEY NEED TO BRING BACK PEYTON AND LUCAS. THE SHOW IS VERY BORING WITH ALL THESE NEW CAST MEMBERS. THEY NEED THE REGULAR CAST BACK WHICH INCLUDES SKILLS,MOUTH,NATHAN,HALEY,LUCAS,PEYTON,DAN,DEB, KAREN,THE ADORABLE JAMIE.I DONT WANT THE SHOW TO EVER BE CANCELLED.

I luv one tree hill but i think they need to bring peyton and lucus back the show isnt the same without them

I agree. I believe that One Tree Hill should be allowed a final season. It is the least they can do for the dedicated fans like me who have never missed an episode. The cast is amazing and so is the writing. Please don't cancel my favorite show.

In my opinion one tree hill is a awesome show, it shows how life in high school being the rich kid or the poor kid can be. i love the characters, and how it goes through all their good and bad times equally. i hope it is brought back for season 8 as they need to end it with every lives going some where.

I think she is a natural, and audience will love her no matter what she stars in
