Just when you thought you'd recovered from the most recent Soap Nation event -- the super-fabulous Stagecoach Music Festival in California -- comes word that some of your favorite ABC Daytime stars will once again be a part of the ABC Summer Block Party at the 2010 CMA Fest in Nashville, TN! (The fun never stops in Soap Nation, have you noticed yet?!)
On Friday, June 11th and Saturday, June 12th, a myriad of All My Children, General Hospital, and One Life to Live stars will appear and sign autographs at the Block Party in Walk of Fame Park -- located on 4th and 5th Avenues between Broadway and Demonbreun (that's between the Downtown Hilton and the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum) -- at various times from 11:30AM until 5PM.
Great news! We just got the updated ABC Summer Block Party schedule -- click here!
The event will be co-hosted by Brandon Barash (Johnny, GH) -- and those scheduled to appear include Bobbie Eakes (Krystal, AMC), Melissa Archer (Natalie, OLTL), Bree Williamson (Jessica, OLTL), Kassie DePaiva (Blair, OLTL) , Kelly Monaco (Sam, GH), Bradford Anderson (Spinelli, GH), Laura Wright (Carly, GH), Steve Burton (Jason, GH), and Scott Reeves (Steve, GH).
And we've got MORE amazing news: Friday's event will include a performance from Port Chuck -- the new rock band made up of GH's Steve Burton, Brandon Barash, Bradford Anderson, and Scott Reeves. Additionally, Saturday's fun will feature a performance from the Divas of Daytime: Kassie DePaiva, Bobbie Eakes, and Kathy Brier (ex-Marcie, OLTL).
During both days, there'll be games, giveaways, free snacks, and more! Don't miss out! And stay tuned for more info from SOAPnet.com as it becomes available ...
Did we mention that all of this is COMPLETELY FREE? Yes, seriously -- it's totally 100% free and open to the public.

Bethtn09, my June 11, 2010 6:47 reply was to you, but it didn't say it. Did you go this time? My head is burnt blood red in my parts, where you can't put sunscreen, because again Nashville was not given cover from the sun. Also, I am sure you dealt with the same rude guy. His name is Tom from Rock Security or Rock Solid Security if you want to report him. I should have last year but didn't, so this year he ruined it for many more fans. He kept boasting "I'm in charge here and I'll do what I want." after he and others told us for 2 hours we could stay in line for Steve and see if there was time, and after he moved us out, there were 12 minutes left when the last person in line was up there! They cancel SSW and then give us crap like this!
Soap Nation Nashville was once again the worst soap event by far! Everything under the tent was good, Divas, games, interviews; but we waited in Steve Burton's autograph line 2 hours in the heat. Workers kept counting 65 then 75 fans. We were well in 75 and were told we could stay but no guarantee. We were fine with that. So as soon as we were getting almost to the actors, the same jerk from last year, named Tom from Rock Security or Rock Solid Security, came and bullied 6-7 of us out of line. He had the girl who came from Toronto to see Steve Burton in front of me in tears, then he was saying "Tears won't do you any good!"! Then he let a girl way behind us in line and we asked why her and not us he told us she had Diabetes! So did the girl from Toronto and I was there using a cane for 2 hours when he and others left me in line 2 hours to see if I got to see Steve and the others. He threatened the crying girl with security for standing near the back of the line and crying. Then the worst thing was when his line ended, the actors still had 12 minutes of their autograph hour left with no fans as far as they knew. One actor said hi to me and I told her we 6-7 were in their line 2 hours and were put out and not put back in when I told Tom 12 minutes are left and here we all are, thinking he'd put us back in, but he came and threatened us for even saying that and the actors left 5 minutes early after coming late for their mere 1 hour of signing time. That Tom blocked us from seeing any actors in line all day and only by chance did we see 4 of them later in passing, but not the main one I went to see. We asked if they'd at least give us one of the leftover photos on the table since we'd been there 2 hours thinking we'd see them as we should've, and they said no and threatened us further for even asking, yet they handed them out last year when the stars left. That Tom guy needs to be reported so if you had a problem with him please inform ABC, Brian Frons, Soapnet, and the Rock Security place that hired him out to this event. Because of him, I won't even try this event again unless I just go for the tent stuff, but I like to get my photo with the stars and an autograph after putting in the long drive and hours in the hot sun. I was there in time to see them and no justice when that Tom wrongly told us we'd have no time to see them and moved us. I've done every SSW and soap events for years and never once had a problem like with that Tom guy. Last year he said my time was up before I even said hi to one star because he said I used my time when I took another fans photos with her camera after she asked him to take her pics and he rudely refused! I left like a whipped pup with my tale between my legs then but spoke up for myself and others this year, on camera even, and that really made him mad, but I want ABC to know how he operates the actor lines and ruins the Nashville event. It's a shame one bad apple can ruin a whole event and make our state look like a bunch of red-neck bullies every year of this event. I'd as soon have them cancel it as they did SSW, which was run way better. If you go to CMA in the future, do the Diva breakfast and the tent stuff, but avoid the autograph lines at all costs because 99% of the fans I talked to got shafted or treated rudely even attempting them, not to mention severe sunburn!
Had an incredibly amazing time at the ABC Block party this yr!!! I was picked to be on the CASTLE Clue trivias game and had sooooo much fun! The girl that chose us from the crowd was super nice! The hosts of the game, Brandon (Johnny from GH) and Rossi Morreale were simply fabulous and great fun! The guy in charge of coordinating the event and putting on the Castle trivia was super nice as well!!! It made the day even more incredible than we ever expected! Thank you ABC and stars for coming and making this an extra special day!!! Love to all!!! Oh and just have to add that Spinelli is FABULOUS in person!
They were terrible! They didn't want us to get pics or autographs and what's the point? I hunted the head guy and complained and it was some better Sat., but it still sucked and was poorly run.
It was the most miserable, hot, horribly run event ever last year! There's only a small chance I'll go just on Sat. for Steve Burton. There were rude rednecks running it and they would not take fans' pics when they got to the stars. The lady ahead of me asked me to take her photos with the 3 stars, I did, and when she was done, they hollered at me to move on before I had even seen 1 actor because they counted my taking a stranger's pics as my time! I only got 1 pic with one, which made me mad but I wasn't going to argue with them. I reported them and the next day a new crew did help a little with pics. I had the worst sunburn of my life and my pics and camera got stolen. The only good times were my moments with sweet Greg Vaughan, and I didn't even have my pics that took 2 days in line 6 hrs. If not for GV, I'd wished I'd never gone. I won't make a wknd. of it this time, just maybe try for Steve, but may go 2 hrs. to Nashville for nothing.
do you know wht time it starts on sat june 12
I believe that it is family friendly...I am taking my 13 year old daughter and her friend for the first time this year and they are super excited! There is alot of waiting in lines but it is so much fun! The autographs do not cost. The $120 tickets is really for CMA Fest and not the SoapNation stuff. That $120.00 includes admission for 4 days to CMA Fest and all the concerts for those 4 days! It's a great deal! The CMA Fest website will probably have the most info! You should try it if you have never been! Its an expereience of a lifetime if you love ABC Soaps and Country music like we do!
I'm so excited to be going to CMA FEST this year! This will be my third time but I would have to say that I am even more excited that SoapNation will be there again and if I couldn't get even more excited I am completely thrilled that I will finally get to meet my Mr. Steve Burton who I have wanted to meet for almost 30 years! He will definately make the whole trip! Thank you CMA Fest and SoapNation for bringing us the most amazing experience of a lifetime! I just cant wait and I hope this next week goes by very fast!
I've never been to a soap event before. We will be coming through Nashville this weekend back from our vacation. Is this something that is family friendly, or is it something that's going to be standing in lines all day? Do the autographs cost? It says its a free event, but then I hear about all the $120 and concerts and stuff. Is there a site with more info?
Also,i hope someone yet again, to see what i said:
I want someone who will be taking care of this event to COVER THE FANS IN THE LINE!!
ALOT of us got sunburnt and head burns from the waiting in the line.
You all shielded your fans at Stagecoach, its just right enough to do the same!!
The Tents are fine for people sitting down, but what about for us standing in the heat and sun?its JUST not FAIR!
