All My Children is really heating up now that Greenlee has arrived back in Pine Valley -- and caught her true love, Ryan, in bed with her worst enemy, Erica. This really stings because Greenlee came back to town FOR Ryan (look at him ... We don't blame her), so to see him all up in the Empress Kane's business is hurtful.
This event is the kick-off to some seriously good storylines for All My Children. Stories that will take the show back to its core. This also turns out to be a perfect excuse for us to go to the photo vault and reminisce about some of Ryan's greatest moments.
See some of Ryan's most memorable moments here ... and leave us comments about what we missed!

Ryan Lavery is the most narcisstic controlling man I've ever seen on a soap. He poisons everyone's life, whatever happiness anyone has is impacted by his selfish acts. He should either be dead or in jail. He's a menace- a White Knight? He has no honor, no morals- he's now resorted to an incestual relationship- I've wathced AMC forever and I've never seen him be anything other than a self absorbed pig- any woman who gets involved with him suffers and loses most she holds dear- self- respect, self esteem, children, freedom, health and even life at his hands. His correct title should be Hellboy because he puts everyone through utter hell on earth. Shame on you calling him a White Knight!
What White Knight would raise his hand to a woman?
What White Knight would stalk a woman and harass her till she married him?
What White Knight would sleep with a married woman?
What White Knight would strike an officer of the law?
What White Knight would abandon his daughter for any reason?
What White Knight would disrespect the "Love of his Life" by sleeping with another woman before the body of his "One True Love" was even cold?
What White Knight would break and enter into peoples homes, threatening them?
What White Knight would be an emotionally and mentally abusive pig?
What White Knight would be an egomaniacal moron?
No, ABC. No, SoapNet. No, AMC. No, Frons.
Ryan Lavery is NO White Knight.
He raised his hand at Greenlee.
He stalked and harassed Annie.
He slept with Kendall while she was married to Zach.
He struck a police officer and was never arrested.
He leaves Emma every chance he gets for any reason he deems fitting.
He slept with Kendall within weeks of Greenlee 'Dying'.
He broke and entered into WildWind and threatened David.
Ryan Lavery is played out - he has no chemistry with any women on the show and I think Cameron Mathison is a very bad actor. His constant bug-eyed stare is nauseating. Get rid of him and do it soon. Kill off Ryan and put Cameron on Good Morning America as a special entertainment correspondent.
It's high time that the producers of the show realized that AMC does not need this bad-example on the show anymore, let alone promote him as a White Knight.
He is the exact opposite of what your viewers - you know, the people who generate advertising dollars - want to see. I'd wonder what the sponsors of the show would think if the viewers were to express their concerns to them in writing, about what a "White Knight" really is.
You guys might as well accept the fact that Ryan is ruined for many people. His memorable moments invoke anger, not pleasure.
Do you all think AMC will put a survey up on this Ryan memories to let us know they read at least one of the many comments
AMC has been watching to many Cheer ads. But, you guys want to keep Zach with Kendell? Didn't she so as bad as Ryan. Also, Ithink Erica is a __ and doesn't deserve the true white knight Jackson. Jack and Zack are what men are made of. Yet AMC pick a low life like Ryan. No wonder the show is messed up.
Ryan's memorable moments include verbally and physically threatening women and then trying to cut the soul out to the point of making them suicidal. He doesn't have a love of his life, he's got a love of the week...or the day. He changes them like some people change their fur thongs.
Why on earth would anyone be thought of as a white knight who took advantage of a confused wives to punish her husband? He has sex with her in their home, in their bed and then acts like everything is ok? He uses her and her company to take everything from her husband and all he says about it is "I told you I was going go get Zach (paraphrased)? He never apologize for taking advantage of an ugly situation and making it worse? He's a PIG.
Now the wonderful Zach is gone, and Ryan remains. Like cockroaches after a nuclear blast.
I am at a loss for words that AMC would believe that this character is a romantic lead, hero and good guy! Oh my goodness that AMC is telling us that an abuser and control freak when it comes to women (and other male characters on the show) is someone we should worship! It won't happen in my life time. The only time that I can recall when Ryan was OK -- during the early days of his arrival and his romance with Gillian. After Gillian died and he came back, the character has gone downhill. I remember all the times how he treated Kendall (and yes even Greenlee) poorly, yelling and calling them names -- and trying to control their lives by HIS rules! So many characters on this show have had to prop Ryan and damaged in the process because of it -- this character cannot carry a story on his own so other characters are called upon to assist! The character has anger issues and yet it has never been dealt with either.
I would like to see the abuser, Ryan, leave Pine Valley and never return. Reunite him with Greenlee (the baby kidnapper and almost killing Spike plus, and she has never paid for that crime) and she can leave with him. Pine Valley will be a much better place without them! IAMTHATMONSTER and BABYKIDNAPPER are not what I want to watch on AMC.
Okay, I don't even know where to start. Whenever I read articles like this I literally scratch my head. Is is possible that TPTB really don't how truly hated this character is?? And not just on AMC. I've never seen a character more hated than Ryan Lavery. Sure, there are characters we love to hate, but Ryan?? We just HATE with the fire of a thousand suns.
Okay, lets put the abuse aside. That was one storyline and we are supposed to be able to over come bad decisions made by TIIC so lets just call IAMTHATMONSTER a bad decision and we are supposed to forget that Ryan almost punched his pregnant wife in the face . . . forgotten.
Abuser aside . . . he is the most self righteious, hypocritical character I have ever had the displeassure to watch. BTW . . . the only reason I did watch was because he shared so many scenes with Zach and I wouldn't miss a Zach scene for anything . . . not even Ryan Lavery.
However, he has bedded a few men's wives and thought nothing of it. While there was a torndao, he had no idea where his daughter was, yet his only concern was bedding Aiden's wife. He set Zach and Kendall's main problems up by LYING that Zach and Reese were sleeping togethe, therefore causing Greenlee's accident. Yet he was only out to destroy Zach . . . and he DID . . .he got Zach's wife!!! And I will never forget Green'ee being concerened about how Emma would feel about their relationship and Ryan simply said "she is just going to have to get used to it." Really Ryan?? A 7 year old?? And the PIG slept with Annie, Greenlee and Kendall in the SAME bed within weeks of each other. I hope he at least changed the sheets He went to court to gain control of Zach's wife's uterus . . . and WON!! He insisted Kendall allow Greenlee back into Spike's life after she kidnapped him.
So you have a character like Zach and for some reason, TIIC had to push this loser as the hero?? Sorry guys, that was Zach. The only difference is . . . Zach never considered himself a hero . . . Ryan most certainly does.
Someone at AMC needs to change the Ryan character bio from "every woman's dream" to "every woman's nightmare."
Sorry for the long rant, but I literally could go on forever. And another thing . . . I really think TIIC were happy to see TK go so they could FINALLY pimp CM as the leading man of this show. Something they couldn't do as long as TK was there. Have fun with that!!
Yes, I am VERY bitter . . . and I no longer watch this mess of a show. Now, if they got TK back . . . I would come back.
Hero? White knight? What an insult to people who actually watch the show.
Ryan is a self-absorbed thief, liar, womanizer, abuser...the list goes on and on.
Enough already. ABC should have left Cameron in NYC.
What is sad is how this character has dominated AMC--so many characters have been sacrificed at the altar of Lavery, he has to be involved in everyone else's story because he can't carry a story on his own. Just like at the end of the Satin Slayer, he had to rush in as if he were the hero, when the story should have been all about Zendall. That's just one of many examples. None of his pairings have worked except Gillian. Every time he's "in love" and it ends, he's in love with someone else in a nanosecond. He's not a hero. He's a blight on AMC.
