"Ryan's Hope": Where Are They Now?

What if you took the medical drama from "General Hospital," mixed it with family, politics, and class struggle, and threw in a neighborhood bar for good measure? You'd get "Ryan's Hope," the mega-popular half-hour soap that aired on ABC Daytime from 1975 until 1989.

 

There's a special breed of "Ryan's Hope" fan -- you know who you are (and we totes count ourselves among you!) -- who couldn't get enough of the trials and tribulations of the Ryan and Coleridge families, or the shenanigans that went down every day at Ryan's Bar or Riverside Hospital.

We may currently air rebroadcasts of "Ryan's Hope" every morning ... but do you know where some of your favorite "Hope" stars are now? Well, we aim to please here at SOAPnet HQ -- so we've put together a slideshow of some of the famous "Hope" actors who've either gone on to acclaim ... or infamy. NOW THEY ARE PUTTING ON RE-RUNS OF ALL MY CHILDREN FROM JANUARY, 2008.. THAT'S FINE, I LIKE IT, BUT THEY PUT ON 3 EPISODES PER DAY FROM TUESDAY TO SATURDAY. THEY COULD HAVE PUT RYAN'S HOPE BACK ON IN ONE OF THOSE TIME SLOTS. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE PUT IT BACK ON!

Bring back Ryan's Hope...I'm serious...bring it back...don't do this to us...SoapNet/ABC/Disney - can't you see how upset we are? You can fix this...put the episodes back on SoapNet, put them online...just give them back to the people who appreciate and treasure them...you will NEVER find a more loyal group of viewers...NEVER! As Johnny Ryan would say, "Here, we're all a bit Irish." Bring it back.

I cannot believe they just took off Ryan's Hope without any notice. First we lost All My Children, now Ryan's Hope. How can you do that to us fans? PLEASE PUT IT BACK ON. I want to find out what happens with Jack and Mary, Delia and Pat, etc.! PLEASE!!!!!

I AM SO UPSET THAT THEY JUST TOOK OFF RYAN'S HOPE OUT OF NOWHERE! IT'S BAD ENOUGH ALL MY CHILDREN WAS CANCELLED... I SAID "OH WELL, AT LEAST I STILL HAVE RYAN'S HOPE". CAME HOME FROM WORK LAST NIGHT, WENT TO WATCH IT, AND IT WAS TOTALLY GONE! THIS IS BULL! I WANT IT BACK NOW!

I am soooo bummed that you took Ryan's Hope off the air! I looked forward to watching it every morning. Please bring it back! :(
