What if you took the medical drama from "General Hospital," mixed it with family, politics, and class struggle, and threw in a neighborhood bar for good measure? You'd get "Ryan's Hope," the mega-popular half-hour soap that aired on ABC Daytime from 1975 until 1989.
There's a special breed of "Ryan's Hope" fan -- you know who you are (and we totes count ourselves among you!) -- who couldn't get enough of the trials and tribulations of the Ryan and Coleridge families, or the shenanigans that went down every day at Ryan's Bar or Riverside Hospital.
We may currently air rebroadcasts of "Ryan's Hope" every morning ... but do you know where some of your favorite "Hope" stars are now? Well, we aim to please here at SOAPnet HQ -- so we've put together a slideshow of some of the famous "Hope" actors who've either gone on to acclaim ... or infamy. And keep checking back -- you never know what we might find in our vast underground vaults.

Ryan's Hope is the best soap on SoapNet. The acting and story line are superb, unlike any soap I have seen. Please show the series past 1981.
I enjoy watching RH on SoapNet very much. Thanks for putting it in your schedule. Please continue to show Ryan's Hope until series end in 1989.
I loved Ryans Hope in the 1970s and I am loving it again. The great acting and the story lines prompt many discussions on the message board. The message board is full of loyal fans that would love to see the entire run, myself included.
Here's hoping that we can gain some recognition here!
I was born in 1979 so I missed Ryan's Hope in this time period Soapnet is showing but I love it. I DVR it every weekday and I don't miss an episode. It will sadden me if you do a rewind so fast. If it's the popular music arguement, the money you waste on this boring reality shows you do can be better spent.
Let a new generation see the soaps of the past.
I watched the original run of Ryan's Hope up to 1981 when I went back to work. I was so excited when SoapNet started showing RH -- I thought I would finally be able to see the rest of the story! WRONG! But, I continue to watch all the rewinds hoping that some day you at SoapNet will surprise us and show this amazing show thru the end!!!
i would love to see the finish of the episodes of Ryan's hope. i'm a loyal fan since i watched from the begining in 1975. two years later when i joined the Air Force, i was no longer able to watch my favorite soap daily. i have missed from now airing in 1980 until the end in 1989. so, i have indeed missed a great deal of time with the Ryan + Coleridge clans and their lives. you have great priviledge to honour Ryan's
MANY fans who are also faced with the same problem, to have the ability to watch their family grow up and finish up with some of the storylines.

WOW!!! Thank you, Soapnet, for counting yourselves among us!! I had no doubt that you have the great appreciation for this wonderful show that we do...
An amazing bit of history/nostalgia of course, as well, which could REALLY be played up for the next go around...
In the meantime, PLEASE consider your loyal viewers' requests to find a way to show this run in it's entirity...
We TRULY appreciate your efforts!!!
Love Ryan's Hope, would like to see the complete run of the show. Please stop rewinding and let us see the complete series. The show has tons of fans.
Hey Shy Ry here again, waiting to hear from Soapnet-are you going to thrill us all and continue RH past 1981?
Come on, shell out the cash and we will loyally be yours!
RH has a huge following, have you noticed?
Cheers to Ryan's Hope!
In loving memory to Nancy Addison
