One Life to Live: Week in Review for August 30, 2010

Blair Cramer, Kassie DePaiva, One Life to LiveFunniest Moment: The Ford Brothers' adventures in the steam room. First of all, perhaps a round of applause for OLTL having the smarts to have a scene with the Ford brothers in a steam room. (No, thank YOU!) But the best moment came after several minutes of tense interaction -- particularly between Bobby Ford and Nate -- followed by James offering an olive branch to Nate, in the way only a Ford brother can: "Maybe we could go out and get a protein shake or something?" Maybe you could, James. Maybe you could. (By the way, for more Ford Bros. deliciousness, check out this video right here.)

WTH? Moment: We'll get to Blair and Eli's honeymoon from hell in a moment, but let's focus on the fire that was started shortly after Blair shot Eli. So the fire starts to spread, and after a few moments of Blair crying over Eli's limp body, she notices it. Time to stop, drop, and roll, right? Not if you're Blair. Our girl took a towel, slapped it in the general direction of the fire a couple times, and when the towel itself caught fire, she flung it clear across the room so it could set THAT half of the cabana on fire. Blair's fire-extinguishing technique should really be included on fire-safety videos for an example of what NOT to do.

Best Moment: This one is a series of moments, but we really like what's going on with Clint these days. He's really becoming Asa right before our eyes. He started the week by slyly rubbing it in to Dorian that David left her (when he was responsible for it in the first place!). Later, he recruited Matthew to work at BE, unconsciously (or not!) sowing some seeds of division between Matthew and Bo. We've really missed Asa since he went to that big cattle ranch in the sky, but Clint is starting to do a great job of filling in his shoes.

cantgetenoughsoaps he has to be dead right? There was no way they could get him outta there after he was shot because the burning building was falling down. And Blair even lifted that blanket and looked at the body to make sure it was him surely he's not another "JASON" haha! ;)

i think eli is still alive. they said they wasnt sure if tat was eli because his face was badly burnt. so either he escaped an got someone else to take his place or he is alive in a morg. tat or i could b completly wrong an he could b dead.

I have tried so hard to like the actress who plays Kelley on OLTL. Her storyline sucks and so does her acting. I wish they'd bring back Heather Thom for her part. She whines about the death of her mother, yet we haven't seen her missing her own child left behind in London. I know soaps don't like to show kids much. Look at poor Hope on OLTL..who is raising her while her parents are running around town all of the time. The writers have an opportunity to show youth the difficulties in being a teen parent. But instead they simply don't show the kid much.

I agree. I am sick, sick, sick of the Ford boys and their skanky mother. They need to pack up and leave town...SOON. Really sick of nothing eye candy. I love the really good story lines...and they contribute NOTHING. I almost want Todd and Blair together again. I can't believe Blair was sooooo dumb for sooooo long and Todd lost Tea. Dani needs a family. I hope the babies belong to the right daddies. I don't want any Ford involved pregnancy. I love Nat and John and Brody and Jess. I also kind of like Rex and Kelly...they are cute together.

I am so sick of the Ford brothers and IMO them talking in the steam room should of been a WTH moment. What type of real family would try to mend fences in a steam room? I can care less if Bobby starts to care for Nate and I can care less if the Ford brothers relationship with the Cramer girls (I am including Dani here) goes anywhere. So what I get it they are some good eye candy, but there is no real depth to them and I can care less if they live, die, or leave the town as one big happy family.

ok I agree with the WTH moment, Blair's attempt to put out the fire, jeez. Ok does anybody really believe that Tea is dead and Eli as well. When John sees all reports that the man in the fire was Eli then I will believe it. But Eli could have paid somebody to fake his death. No Body No death. It is a open door for the actress who played Tea's role to come back. Anybody else see a Kellie/Todd hook up coming. Happy that Jess and Nat will tell the truth next week. Also Rex's fathers needs to pop up to. Where is Shane, and Bree. Never see the kids on the show.

I really loved the scenes with John and Blair today. I realized they can open up with each other really well. I believe they should get back together again, I mean John wouldn't be running to Marty anymore!
