"Night Shift" Writer Interview

This week's "General Hospital: Night Shift" dropped two BIG surprises on viewers. We learned that Robin's super-spy father, Robert Scorpio, has survived his brain tumor, only to then discover that the tumor is symptomatic of a larger problem: Robert has colon cancer.

Meanwhile, Dr. Saira Batra diagnosed Jagger's son, Stone, with autism spectrum disorder. This was quite a blow to Jagger, who didn't want to believe there was anything "wrong" with his child.

"No one loves Robert Scorpio more than I do," "Night Shift" headwriter Sri Rao tells SOAPnet.com. "I'm such a HUGE fan. When I decided to bring Robert Scorpio back to Port Charles, I wanted him and Robin to come together as a family. The best way to do that would be to have Robert present with a medical condition.
