New All My Children Head Writers Speak!
What about Jesse and Angie?
David: "We feel like we've got a great story for them that will test the strength of their marriage, but will ultimately bring them closer together. Angie is going to have a real challenge coming up that's going to test her abilities as a doctor and a wife. She's going to have to decide if she's going to bring Jesse along on this journey."
Donna: "We will have a surprise twist in there, but it really will put them front and center."
David: "We think it's a story that can really break your heart."
What about the Chandler camp?
Donna: "With Adam leaving, that gives a terrific opportunity for JR to really step up and become the new Adam Chandler. We're looking to revitalize all the characters there."
David: "JR has gone through his whole life with this battle of 'Do I want to be my father or do I want to be the opposite of my father?' While Adam has been there, he's been unable to make the final decision. With Adam gone, we'll see him step up to the plate and become the head of the household."
Donna: "And with Annie being a catalyst, it's going to be like Cat on the Hot Tin Roof. We have four characters who are going to have some hot interactions. Everyone is going to be tested there. We've got Scott, who is the good cousin. What does he do to win Annie? What does JR do? And the surprise may be Marissa, who steps up the plate as well. She is David's daughter, so maybe she has much more of a backbone."
David: "Marissa has never had to fight against somebody like Annie before, and she doesn't exactly know how to do it. She finds herself gravitating more toward her father, who is the master of these sort of things."
Donna: "Once again we want to get that whole family to be volatile again, to use all the canvas. We're trying to strengthen the different families and make allegiances between them and draw the enemy lines again -- the way it was in the early days with Agnes's configuration."
David: "As we were saying before, Palmer's death will play into this too. We're looking to invigorate the Cortlandt family again and get back to some of the Cortlandt/Chandler historic battles."
What about Tad?
Donna: "Well, he has a son now. What we want to see is the young Tad 'The Cad' all over again. That's going to be a challenge for him, dealing with a kid who he has to charm because Damon is not totally thrilled about having a new dad like that."
David: "And Liza is very unhappy about the relationship that's building between Damon and Colby. Liza and Tad find themselves on opposite sides of this."

Adam killed Stuart, he was drugged and thought he was shooting himself because he figured he deserved to die for the things he did. But in reality he was shooting Stuart. Annie knew he was the one that shot Stuart and tried to protect him by not telliing him and trying to stop him from remembering.
I do not understand why AMC would willing want to upset one of their larger fanbases? Especailly, with AMC bleeding viewers as they are!! The Slater family has fans that have sat through the last several years of HIDEOUS writing. I think we have proven our loyalty!! Imagine how loyal we would be if they were together and happy. This is not rocket science, do what you have to and re-sign TK. Bring back the Slaters happy!!
If you are not going to give my my Zen then, please keep Kendall away from Ryan. Kendall and Greenlee are better off just enemies.
I'm excited about the new story lines to come! Although I think they need to replace Colby and Damon with new actors they feel so "fake".
Ok, so this is slightly random, but I think the hair stylist on the show loves red hair or something. Have you noticed that almost every major female character has some sort of red hair??? Even Dixie when she was back for like 3 shows. Ummm, excuse me, but Dixie was blond!
Also, the new Colby is driving me insane, as is Damon. Ugh really?
I've watched All My Children since the beginning (1970) for many years it was second, General Hospital first. But for the past 10 years it has been in last place. GH, Y@R OLTL AMC is the order from favorite to least favorite. For the past five years it has just been terrible. I can see why it almost got axed. I'm hoping with the new writers things will turn around, but time will be the teller here. Take Erica, this woman is in her early 60's, yes she is still very pretty, but I'm sick of her. Same old same old. At one time this is what made Erica a daytime name, but now it's like watching reruns. Her love for Jack falls so flat with me, I want to cry. Erica fighting with Greeenlee about fuseson is silly. same old same old. JR, who cares about him. He always acts like he has a chip on his shoulder. Now that Mr Canary is leaving, this will make JR head of the family. I dread the day. If this turns out the way I think it will , I will most likely stop watching. Tad is so underused. What story's are given him is wasting Michael's telnet,and showing him no respect. Jesse and Angie is also underused. I would love to see a good story with them. Jake and his wife, I like, but, they just take up room.. I guess you can tell that there is alot about this soap I don't like. So unless these new writers can really do something to change this show,I know I will stop watching. The Adam and Stuart story is what did it for me. I still don't know who killed Stuart. That story was terrible and took soooooo long, and then at the end, I still don't know,, and now don't care. If I would have kept turning in every day, I'm sure I would know, but the story was so bad and took so long, I stopped watching. I still don't watch every day. But I'm hanging in for a few more months to give these new writers time, but if it doesn't change, AMC has lost a watcher./
Please pay attention to the people that watch. I have watched ever since this show started like 40 years now and I have never watched any other soap. I used to see it when going home for lunch and my wife had it on.... so anyway, I got hooked. The best thing that ever happened here in a long time is the connection with David and Greenlee. Ryan has become a complete sleaze and in NO WAY does he ever deserve to get Greenlee back. David and she can do GREAT things together on AMC. Keep these two together and whatever happens.... PLEASE DO NOT EVER let Ryass get with her again. The chemistry between David and her really works. This has the potential of being very possibly the greatest love ever on any soap. Let it develop as it has started and watch what you can do with it. WOW... what possibilities lie ahead for this couple if they stay together... tremendous power they have together, cause they both have these great strengths that work with each other so well. I know there are a lot of fans out there that are really rooting for the David – Greenlee thing to work. They have admitted they love each other… keep it going and let Ryan find some other strange relationship to get into. He not only slept with everyone… he tried to break up Kendall and Zach, ruined Annie, (she really loved him) and then gave no mourning time to Greenlee, the supposed love of his life. No… he does not in any way deserve her back. She has always been of high character and a very strong person. Keep her with David and they together can do turn Pine Valley UP – SIDE – DOWN.
I'm loving David and Greens together, these two schemer's are the best couple I've seen in a long time on AMC. Please, please keep these two together.
I WILL NOT WATCH GREENS GO BACK TO HER ABUSIVE EX RYAN AGAIN. RYLEE HAPPENS AGAIN I'M DONE WITH AMC FOR GOOD. Seriously who forgives a man for nearly hitting her while being pregnant.
I have watched every episode of AMC, even the ones that are on tape to catch-up. I loved Greenlee and Leo and somehow the writers always pass them by. I understand the ratings were so high when Greenlee and Leo got married and when Leo and his crazy mother and David were scheming. I hope these new writers bring that factor into the story. I would love to see Greenlee and David together. I thing the actor's have amazing chemistry togther in addition to their incredible acting skills. I would love to see Greenlee think she saw LEo lurking around. NOw that AMC is shooting in LA, that is where Josh Duhamel (Leo) resides..anything is possible in Soapland!
I have literally watched AMC since the day it came on the air and I'm like one of the other viewers - I'm about to bail. I fast forward through most of the show. It's just boring and I'm so sick of the story lines with Erica. For crying out loud, she's 60ish. Who wants to watch someone our age act like she's in her 30's. I wanted to throw up watching her with Ryan. Act your age woman. The only time I backed away from AMC was the storyline with Greenlee and Leo. It was so drawn out and boring. The same thing with Ryan and Greenlee - go away Greenlee. She whines way too much. I just don't care what happens to her.
