New "90210" rumors and castings!

JPI

The population of "Beverly Hills, 90210" just increased by one.

Dustin Milligan, a 22-year-old actor best known for playing Henry on the CW's short-lived series "Runaway," is the first name attached to the much anticipated "Beverly Hills, 90210" reboot. He's set to play Ethan, described as a likable jock, who loses his place among the popular kids and ends up hanging with the new "90210" gang.

The CW series, which hasn't been officially greenlit yet, will revolve around the Mills family. Dad Harry returns to his native Beverly Hills to care for his alcoholic ex-movie star mom, bringing along sporty wife Celia and their two kids -- adopted bad boy Dixon and indie girl Annie. As with twins Brandon and Brenda in the original, the teens' adjustment to BH High, and the friends they make, will drive the plot.

"90210" -- The Rumors

So much for the news -- now here's the buzz. Rumor has it that writer/exec producer Rob Thomas (not the Matchbox 20 guy) wants to bring back Jennie Garth as Kelly Taylor, who over the years morphed from rich bitch to boyfriend stealer to coke-head to clothing designer. Rob sees Kelly as the high school's fashion-design teacher. But Jennie's committed to a pilot for CBS next year, so who knows if she'd really come back to the 90210.

Tori Spelling, sheltered rich girl Donna Martin in the original, has already said she'd love to be in this spin-off of late daddy Aaron's mega-hit. But so far, no one's jumped at the offer. Still, we hear that, in the first episode, some characters will TP the Spelling mansion as a sort of homage. Maybe Tori could make a cameo…and release the hounds?

The pilot also features a character named Hannah Zuckerman-Vasquez -- which would be the all-grown-up baby girl of "90210" 1.0's geek-goddess Andrea (Gabrielle Carteris) and hubby Jesse (Mark D. Espinoza).

But maybe most shocking is the revelation that the Peach Pit now takes reservations! We guess it went upscale. Wow. Will owner Nat (Joe E. Tata) now be serving $26 foie gras hamburgers, or what? We can't wait to find out!

Which familiar faces would you most like to see on the new "90210"?
