With Mischa Barton in the hospital, production on her new show "Beautiful Life" has been delayed. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the CW series pushed its start date due to unfinished sets -- but now Entertainment Weekly reports that producers are working on a Plan B if the actress isn't better soon.

Anonymous sources tell the mag that the show is casting a recurring character, tentatively named Josie, who'll play a similar type to Mischa's model Sonja Stone. So ... is there room for two experienced and troubled supermodels on one show?

"Beautiful Life" premieres September 16th. Here's hoping Mischa makes it back -- we were looking forward to her triumphant return to TV.
