The latest buzz around Hollywood has former "Melrose Place" star Jack Wagner proposing marriage to his onetime "MP" co-star and girlfriend of almost a year, Heather Locklear. Wow, a real wedding between Amanda and Peter? Too bad she turned him down.

Think of the possibilities ... the ceremony could take place by the pool in the "Melrose" courtyard. All of their former co-stars -- even folks like Amy Locane, who appeared in the first season and was never heard from again -- could attend, in a giant made-for-TV reunion! And just imagine the '90s-inspired slip bridesmaid dresses and choker necklaces that Marcia Cross, Courtney Thorne-Smith, and Kristin Davis could wear ... .

Oh, well. It's not like the couple is breaking up. Heather, divorced from Bon Jovi rocker Richie Sambora since just last year, apparently needs more time -- and Jack's willing to wait.

We think these two deserve a happy ending, just like their "Melrose" alter egos Peter and Amanda ... minus the whole faking-your-own-death thing, of course.
