After months of wishing and hoping and waiting -- we've finally received confirmation that Reva (Kim Zimmer) and Josh's (Robert Newman) peace-crusading son, Shayne, is headed back to "Guiding Light." Want to know the best part? He's going to be played by former "All My Children" star Jeff Branson.
For those of you who never had a chance to see Jeff in action, he was INCREDIBLE as Ryan Lavery's (Cameron Mathison) highly troubled younger brother, Jonathan. He was good, he was bad, he was even nominated for an Outstanding Supporting Actor Emmy Award in 2005.
The really funny thing is that Jeff once played the role of Alan Spaulding. A much-younger Alan Spaulding, that is, during a 2004 flashback sequence.
We've always been huge fans, so we really can't wait to see what Jeff brings to this new role. Luckily, we won't have to wait too long -- his first airdate is set for Monday, December 1.
Do you think "Guiding Light" made a good casting choice?
