Vanessa Marano is now playing Eden on "The Young and the Restless."

As of today, Vanessa Marano will be playing River's rebellious teenage daughter, Eden, on "The Young and the Restless." We're not sure exactly why the show decided to replace original actress Erin Sanders, but we're definitely excited to see what Vanessa will do with the role.

We're actually huge fans of the talented Miss Marano from "Gilmore Girls." Remember her? She played Luke's (Scott Patterson) long-lost daughter, April, who accidentally caused his relationship with Lorelai (Lauren Graham) to implode at the end of Season 6.

If you missed Vanessa in that role, chances are you've caught one of her many guest star appearances on TV shows like "The Closer," "Ghost Whisperer," "Malcolm in the Middle," "Without a Trace," and "Six Feet Under." Yep, she's been pretty busy for a 16-year-old. She even co-starred with John Cusack and Melissa George in a movie called "Stopping Power" that's coming out next year.

Anyway, we're super excited that Vanessa's coming to Genoa City, and can't wait to see what kind of trouble Eden will get Noah into next.
