Meet the New Craig Montgomery

JPI

Watch out, Oakdale! Craig Montgomery is about to make his comeback ... with another new face.

According to our friends at "As the World Turns," soap vet Jon Lindstrom will be taking over the role -- and we couldn't be more thrilled. We were HUGE fans of Jon on both "General Hospital" and "Port Charles," where he played Ryan Chamberlain and his twin brother, Kevin Collins, until 2002.

Since then, Jon's starred in TV movies, tackled guest spots on "CSI" and "Everwood," and appeared in the Diane Lane/John Cusack romantic comedy "Must Love Dogs." He even wrote and produced a feature film titled "The Hard Easy," with David Boreanaz (OMG, we love him -- Angel & Buffy 4ever!) and Nick Lachey. How cool is that?

We think Jon will make a great Craig, and we're more than a little curious about how he'll drop back into town. When we last saw Craig in February, he was fleeing for the Cayman Islands after planting a bomb in Paul's (Roger Howarth) car that nearly killed him. Is he returning to face prosecution, or to hatch yet another devious plan against his rival?

Only time will tell, but we can't wait to see where this next chapter takes Craig -- and Jon. Check back for more info on his first airdate!

Are you psyched that Craig's coming back?
