Being married to Michael Mancini isn't easy (he and ex-wife Kimberly took turns hitting each other with cars), but someone's got to do it. And on the new "Melrose Place," that person is Brooke Burns.

E! Online reports that Brooke, 31, has been cast in a multi-episode arc as Michael's wife, Vanessa. The couple has a young son, Noah.

Michael's older son, played by Shaun Sipos, is one of the new series's main characters -- David. In previews, we've already seen that David and Dad are not on great terms.

... Here's hoping Vanessa can mend fences between the Mancini men before anyone else gets run over!
