Ever since the news broke that Rachel Melvin would be leaving "Days of our Lives" this spring, we'd been worried that her character, Chelsea Brady, would have to break up with boyfriend/adoptive uncle Max on her way out of town. The good news is that might not happen. The bad news is that's because Darin Brooks is leaving "Days" too.
Soap Opera Digest reports that Darin will take his final bows as Max Brady in late May, which should coincide with Rachel's last days as Chelsea. Darin's Spike TV pilot -- "Blue Mountain State," a comedy about college football players scoring on and off the field -- got picked up and should start airing this summer. Darin reportedly plays the hotshot, hard-partying quarterback. So you'll still be able to get your Darin fix, even if it's not as Max.
What are you hoping for Max in his waning days in Salem?
