Watch for Kayla to return to Salem this September.

Though it was for a very sad occasion, we couldn't help but enjoy seeing some of our all-time favorite Salemites return to Days of our Lives for Alice Horton's (and actress Frances Reid) memorial. Luckily, the warm and fuzzy feelings will continue in September when Mary Beth Evans (Kayla) comes back to town.

 

According to Soap Opera Digest, Mary Beth will return to Salem for an unspecified number of episodes. But seeing as how her daughter Stephanie is insisting on creating a relationship with a fellow who may not love her back (paging young Dr. Horton) ... and knowing how she felt about Bo and Hope splitting up ... there are PLENTY of reasons for Kayla to come home for a while.

 

SOD also notes that Mary Beth will make an appearance on another soap alma mater, As The World Turns, in August.

Outside of their wedding, which I taped on VCR [yes it was that long ago..lol], my all time fav was the scene where they were living in the famous 'loft', where Bo & Hope had shared once.....The A/C was broken, and they were "cooling" each other off with that glass of ice water. Those ice cubes melted all over those two in that hot, steamy sweaty moment....Great Chemistry by those two, always...I Miss them terribly....

My favorite Patch and Kayla moment was also at their wedding. This was so warm and fuzzy that I give the writers a high praise for the idea to do it this way. I adored the two of them together and wish they still were on this soap opera. Along with Jennifer and Jack, Patch and Kayla were my favorite couple(s). But, now since I am very busy, I hardly get a chance to see those crazy kids anymore anyway. But still kudos.

my favorite Kayla and Patch is their wedding when Kayla signed the ceremony because she was suffering a hearing loss.
