Marcy Rylan Heads to GC
It's been a big casting week for The Young and the Restless. On Thursday, it was announced that All My Children star Eden Riegel would be joining the show as Heather Stevens. Today, a CBS rep released a statement saying that Guiding Light actress Marcy Rylan is coming to GC as well! Per the statement:
"The role of 'Abby' has been re-cast with MARCY RYLAN. Many of you may know her from her role as 'Lizzie Spaulding' on Guiding Light. Marcy will start taping the week of April 5."
On her Twitter page, Marcy wrote that Abby, currently played by Hayley Erin as a teenager, will be "aged to her early 20s" when she takes over the role.
The switch certainly opens up new storylines for the character -- and it should give Ashley and Victor a break as well. Abby's been a bit rebellious and angsty as of late, after all!
