On the latest "Dancing with the Stars," Susan Lucci and partner Tony Dovolani performed the jive. Which, whenever we hear that word, we want June Cleaver to come out and start speaking Jive like she did in "Airplane." What if she narrated the dance?
Anyway, Susan showed herself to be a true professional last night. Despite hurting her ankle in rehearsal (she wore an ace bandage which, showing the woman's god given gift to accessorize, went with her outfit), she performed, and you wouldn't have known it. She got a 21, the same as last week, which is a solid score. The judges thought she did a good job but wanted her to break out of her shell a little. We feel for her; we can't imagine how nerve-wracking doing that is. They should just stick us in the audience -- we'd go so nuts that it'd be an automatic ego boost.
But damned if Susan couldn't be a ninja! Did you see her with the Rockettes, dressed all in black, kicking and stuff? Ninja Gaiden! She looked amazing.
We feel so sad for Misty May-Treanor, sidelined by an Achilles tendon injury. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery.
How do you think Susan did last night?
