Lindsay Hartley Departing Days

Lindsay Hartley joined Days almost exactly a year ago ...

Casting news out of Salem, y'all: Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Lindsay Hartley -- who joined Days of our Lives in August 2009 as Arianna Hernandez, after the role's previous actress (Felisha Terrell) departed -- has been let go. She'll continue to appear as Ari for a few more months, as Days has taped weeks' worth of episodes in advance.

 

This news comes on the heels of Arianna's fight for justice -- she was wrongly framed for the attacks on Salem's most prominent folks by Nicole, who was trying to keep Ari from marrying Brady -- which has led her to EJ DiMera.

 

No word yet on whether the role will be recast, or if Ari will suddenly find herself on an extended sojourn to a foreign country ... keep checking SOAPnet.com for news as it develops.

I believe they did the right thing. Think about it E.J. and Sami already have children together, now Sami and Rafe are together , if E.J. and Arianna had gotten together then E.J. and Sami's kids would be calling Arianna aunt and stepmom and Rafe stepdad and uncle then they would not have as good a storyline.

I liked Lindsay on passions but NOT on Days I hope she has other plans in her acting career but I will not miss Ari on Days

I truly think Days should reconsider letting Lindsay Hartley go...There are so many potential storylines that could have been made up for her character, Arianna. I like the idea of the Arianna/Brady/EJ storyline. It is truly a poor decision on the show's part to let such a talented actress go. I have enjoyed her work on Passions, and I regret that Days feels they have no use for her character (Heck, I could write up a storyline for her!) Here's hoping Days comes to their senses and brings her back quickly.

y are they takin ari off of lindsay off i love her as ari i loved passions so much and was happy when she joined days i really hope they reconsider!!8{

I like Ari and thought Lindsay did a great job.
This character had so much potential, and I was looking forward to an EJ an Ari moment.

They should have kept Ari. She would make a great storyline with EJ. Poor girl, rich guy. It could happen....too many possiblities, now down the drain. What's wrong with these writers?

I like Ari on the show and think they should keep her. She definitely could have an interesting story w/EJ....I liked Lindsay when she was on Passions too.

I think they should keep Ari. If EJ isn't dead, they should put both of them together. She has some compassion for him on the show.. she defended him alittle. It might also make sami jealous and rafe insanely mad... I think there would be some good story lines there...

I think it's sad they got rid of Ari, now that she's in the clear, and out of jail, her and Brady should be together. Remember when they went to the tropics to get married and Nicole ruined that. Send Nicole back to adult films, and put brady back with ari.
