Been missing the incomparable Lauren Graham from your TV sets since Gilmore Girls ended as much as we have? Well get your remotes at the ready: she's coming back!

Entertainment Weekly reports that Lauren, 42, has just been cast in new NBC comedy Parenthood, based on the 1989 film of the same name. She'll play single mom Sarah -- a part we think Lorelei has prepared her for.

The role of Sarah was originally played by Maura Tierney, but the ER actress had to back out of the project after being diagnosed with breast cancer. Helen Hunt was also considered for the show.

Lauren joins the already cast Peter Krause, Dax Shepard, Erika Christensen, and Monica Potter.
