Color us excited by this news: Laura Leighton, who played the mischievous Sydney on "Melrose Place" (and will be reprising the role on "Melrose 2.0"), is teaming up with Angie Dickinson -- one of the most famously gorgeous women 20th century. They'll be playing a mother and daughter in the new Hallmark Channel movie "Mending Fences."

The family drama focuses on Laura's role as a TV reporter daughter who is estranged from her struggling Nevada farmer mother, played by Angie. They must team up to discover why the town's water supply is mysteriously disappearing. (Our guess? Lizard aliens from "V.")
